Criteria For Children Who Are Not Singapore Citizens Or Permanent Residents

Under the guidelines set by the Ministry of Education, children who are neither Singapore citizens nor permanent resident cannot be served as long as there are Singapore citizens or permanent residents on the waiting list.

Presently, our schools have a waiting list of Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Therefore we are unable to consider any application for children who are not Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.

In line with the revision of the Ministry of Education's Foreign Pupil Fees Policy, foreign pupils who are children of Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents, admitted to SPED schools in 2002 and those admitted on/after 1 Jan 2003, would have to pay full foreign pupil fees w.e.f. 1 Jan 2003 in accordance with the current per capita cost.

With this change in policy, foreign pupils who are dependents of employment pass holders will be treated in the same way as the above group of foreign pupils.

Foreign pupils who are in SPED schools prior to 1 Jan 2002 will not be affected by the changes and will continue to pay the rates of school fees of their respective schools until they leave the SPED school system.

Prior approval from the Ministry of Education must be sought for admission to our school programmes.
