About Rainbow Centre - Margaret Drive School

Started in 1987 by the Singapore Council of Social Service (SCSS) or now known as the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), the school became independent and came under the umbrella of Rainbow Centre Singapore in 1992. It redeveloped into a Special Education school in 1998 with facilities to better cater to the diverse special needs of children with development delay, intellectual disability, physical disability, multiple disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.

The school runs the following Special Education (SPED) programmes:

  • Programme for Pupils with Multiple Disabilities (PPMD) between 7 years and 18 years old
  • Structured Teaching for Exceptional Pupils (STEP) between 7 years and 18 years old
