PRE-SCHOOL INTEGRATION ENHANCEMENT PROPGRAMME (PRiEP)

Initiated and introduced in 2000 by Rainbow Centre, PRiEP aims to provide training and professional support to early childhood education centres which have pre-schoolers with special needs. With PRiEP, both teachers and administrators would be better equipped with the knowledge and skills to help these children, thus leading to high chances of integration in mainstream schools.

 Services

• Training Course for pre-school educators on specific areas of disabilities
• Assessment of Needs & Development of IEP by the PRiEP team
• On-site Consultation & Intervention by the PRiEP team at the pre-school centres
• Case Conference meetings with the PRiEP team, pre-school centre's staff and parents
• Parent Education & Training

• Pre-school centres that have children with special needs who are attending our schools or registered on the waiting lists of Rainbow Centre's schools.
• Staff of pre-school centres to attend PRiEP training course.
• Parents to attend our Parent Training.
• Pre-school centres that are willing to admit more children with special needs who have potential to benefit from mainstream school.
• Pre-school centres that are willing to be partners to educate the public for the benefit of children with special needs.

 Referrals must come from the pre-school centres with consent from the parents.
