Complete Learning on Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Certificate in Teaching Preschoolers with ASD in a Mainstream Setting

Autism is a spectrum disorder. This means that the condition has a wide-ranging degree of severity, ranging from a child who is non-verbal and has little understanding of the world around him to one who is highly intelligent but is unable to integrate with his peers. This developmental disability is lifelong. However, if the child is diagnosed early and intervention is timely, the child's development can improve.

However, our staff at PRiEP recognize that despite most teachers' patience and professional training, it is difficult to engage a child with special needs. Therefore, this course aims to arm educators with the specialized skills, knowledge and strategies to teach a child with ASD effectively in a mainstream pre-school.

The training programme is divided into 3 levels with specific modules in each level. Participants are given the opportunity to assimilate and practise what they learn before moving on to the next module. There are 7 modules altogether.

All pre-school educators who work with or are interested in working with preschoolers with ASD should attend this course.
