Rainbow Centre - Margaret Drive School

 About
RCMDS
Started in 1987 by the former Singapore Council of
Social Service, the school became independent from
the National Council of Social Service in 1992 and
came under the umbrella of Rainbow Centre. It was
then redeveloped into a purpose-built special education
school in 1998. The new school building has special
facilities to better cater to the diverse special
needs of children with intellectual disability, multiple
disabilities and autism.
The school runs the following special education (sped)
programmes:
- Programme for children with multiple handicaps
(pcmh) between 4 years and 18 years old.
- Structural teaching for exceptional pupils (step)
up to 12 years old. STEP serves children
with autism spectrum disorder.
