Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist / Speech-Language Therapist
About the Role
The occupational therapist / physiotherapist / speech-language therapist provides high quality therapy and intervention programmes to enable students with special needs to reach the maximum potential and equip staff / caregivers with techniques that will enhance the student’s development.
a. Use data and appropriate assessment tools to identify student therapy needs.
b. Identify and prioritise goals to facilitate individual and group interventions.
c. Formulate and implement relevant student care plans.
d. Complete specialist report, case notes, and other documentation.
e. Perform appropriate caseload management.
f. Continuously uphold standards of best practice to ensure quality service delivery.
- Degree or post-graduate qualification in occupational therapy / physiotherapy / speech-language therapy from a recognised university and eligible for registration under the Allied Health Professions Act 2011.
- Relevant knowledge and experience in working with children and youth with special needs and a wide range of disabilities.
