Senior Care Facilitator

About the Role

Are you keen to contribute to quality care, learning opportunities and meaningful engagement for students with disabilities?

Rainbow Centre’s Out-Of-School-Hours student care service (OOSH) for students with disabilities, offer vibrant, nurturing and safe environments with a range of activities aimed at cultivating the interests and abilities of each student and recognising them as unique individuals. We are looking for a Senior Care Facilitator to lead a team of Care Facilitators in supporting students’ life skills development and enhancing their accessibility to community resources. 

On a typical day, students will be guided by a timetable where there will be opportunities for participation in daily living routines such as hygiene and self-care, meals, and cleaning. There will be facilitated activities designed and planned in collaboration with students, incorporating their interests, strengths, and abilities.


  • Lead team in quality care and optimal student engagement and learning
  • Facilitate collaboration and provide leadership for student engagement and organisation effectiveness
  • Develop self, innovate and improve professional practice and programme deliverance

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 6 years experience teaching and/or working with students with disabilities, preferably with experience working in a student care setting
  • Possess a relevant  diploma or degree 
  • Demonstrated an ability to lead
  • Able to handle the physical demands of the role, such as lifting and carrying the students and equipment, and cleaning and maintaining equipment and facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Committed to collaboration and teamwork for effective attainment of work goals and supporting the overall organisational culture
