Senior Executive, Planning & Organisational Excellence

We are looking for a Senior Executive to join our Planning & Organisational Excellence (POE) team in supporting the day-to-day management of the organisation and execution of strategic priorities by ensuring that strategic initiatives are coordinated, operationalised and reinforced in a cohesive way and monitored for impact. POE also supports the Executive Director with Board of Governance engagement and strategic partnerships and communications.

Reporting to the Lead/Senior Manager, the Senior Executive, POE is required to be a ‘hands on’ professional and able to support projects related to strategic planning, organisational development, and governance and compliance.


Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring corporate governance and compliance by:

  • Supporting the effective operation of key elements of corporate governance, including supporting internal audits where necessary
  • Monitoring updates and policy announcements at national and sectoral levels that affect RC’s compliance requirements as an IPC, and reporting key information and/or recommendations to the Leadership Team
  • Maintaining register of funding renewals and coordinating the renewals for programme fundings, grants and annual returns to funders and relevant governing bodies
  • Supporting personal data protection policy review and implementing necessary measures to safeguard against personal data protection risk
  • Ensuring all key organisation level policies and SOPs are accessible via a single touchpoint, including managing version controls of documents, publishing of updated or new policies and SOPs, and webpage management to allow ease of navigation
  • Upkeeping and maintaining key organisation knowledge assets for Executive Director’s Office
  • Supporting in the documentation and drafting of organisation level policies and SOPs

Supporting strategy and planning through:

  • Preparing progress reports and action plans including resources, timeframes and budgets for strategic projects under the department’s purview
  • Supporting the review of all programmes and development of projects to ensure alignment with strategic plan
  • Coordinating plans to support RC’s commitment to its intended future state, including working with other teams to curate multi-channel portfolio of communications that are delivered over an extended period of time for desired change

Supporting Organisational Development and Excellence via:

  • Conducting organisational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate organisational effectiveness
  • Undertaking special assignments related to the implementation of RC Strategic Plan

Candidate Requirements

  • A good tertiary qualification in Business or other relevant field, with at least 3 years of experience working on strategic planning or organisational development projects 
  • Ability to problem solve, manage conflict, and build relationships with people at different levels of the organization
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of knowledge management principles and processes
  • Good proposal and report writing skills
  • Experience in the social service sector will be an advantage.
